Newspaper Portfolio

 Welcome!

Although my first magazine article was published in a cosmetology trade magazine sometime in the 1990’s, the chapter in my life with the heading, “WRITER,” truly began when my first weekly column was printed on July 11, 2007 in the Wallkill Valley Times.

I was sincerely giddy with excitement when I opened that newspaper and saw my photo and byline. I am pretty sure I went to sleep with a grin from ear to ear and remember my husband saying, “I hope that excitement never goes away for you; that it never becomes work, and that it always makes you happy.”

Guess what?

I love it. I still love running out and getting my copy of the newspaper or wherever my work is printed. I love meeting with people and telling their stories. 

Currently, I enjoy telling the individual stories of unique people of all ages, as well as covering community news and events for The Wallkill Valley Times.
